I am shocked and saddened by the news that Robin Williams has died from suicide at the age of 63. May he rest in peace.

Kind of an interesting story about Williams and the Genie character. They didn't want to pay him much, but he wanted to do the character. Disney agreed to terms wherein they wouldn't market the film using William's name or prominently feature the character he voice (the Genie). Of course, Disney almost immediately violated those terms and it left a very sour taste in William's mouth for years.
